Description	Journal: Acta Oto-Laryngologica I wish to present to you a short summary of some work which has been carried out upon the histology of the footplate in cases of otosclerosis. We have been able to remove the footplate in a number of cases when carrying out the operation of stapedectomy and we have examined 90 of these.
