| Description | A typical human being is bestowed with five sensory organs, from which the eye plays the most crucial role for them to interact with their environment. Visually challenged people in this world face more difficulties than those who have lost one of their other senses. The 21st century is an era of innovation. We have witnessed many breathtaking innovations in various disciplines, therefore we thought we should do something to make the lives of the visually impaired easier as they are entitled to equal rights and equal opportunities. Previously, many products have already been created in order achieve this goal but they were either inefficient or too expensive. Therefore, we decided to accept the challenge and make a low-cost product to help the visually impaired. Everyday challenges faced by a visually challenged person are not correctly understood, which is what we address in this project. There are approximately 286 million visually impaired people in the world and this paper presents an idea-turned-into-reality tool that would help them navigate the world freely. The goal is to prompt others also to develop more meaningful problem-solving products for the visually impaired. Book Name: Smart Computing |
