| Description | The objective of this paper is to present a finite element formulation of planar reinforced concrete (RC) frames with structural walls. A mathematical model of a structural (shear) reinforced concrete (RC) wall is introduced. It consists of the already verified "axial-flexural" element P4 (for Bernoulli's beam), in which the interpolation functions for flexural and axial deformations are based on a fourth order polynomial and of nonlinear "shear" springs that model include the shear deformations. The numerical examples show the applicability of the proposed model. Book Name: Nonlinear Seismic Analysis and Design of Reinforced Concrete Buildings |
