| Description | This chapter starts with revisiting the selection of classes and objects in a program and then discusses the organization of these modules. It shows how this is the key to the advantages of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). We refer to this modular design as Object-Oriented Design (OOD). In this chapter, the OOD process is explained in more detail. While there is no standard way to identify classes, objects, properties, and methods, it is crucial to use guidelines and review examples to develop the skills for designing efficient object-oriented programs. This chapter also discusses an important subject when working with classes: access control for class members. Finally, memory allocation is revisited, showing how to allocate blocks of data dynamically, then extending this idea to creating objects dynamically, which is a feature frequently used in OOD.
