| Description | An empathetic, ethical, and non-discriminative mindset is at the core of humanistic management. One of the roles of higher education institutions is forging interculturally sensitive individuals. University education programs, however, are rarely sensible toward establishing courses that address intercultural sensitivity and competencies. Thus, we decided to explore whether and how Erasmus's study-abroad programs influence tourism-management students' critical consciousness about cultural diversity. The results reveal that students perceive themselves ethno-relative, considering different worldviews a value, something to respect and endorse. We suggest universities to provide training sessions on intercultural sensitivity before departure and after return from the international study program to stimulate reflection on the experience and on the development of self-identity and managerial skills.
