The principles, methodologies, and strategies discussed in the previous chapters can be applied for multinuclear solid-state NMR studies of various molecular systemssimple or complex, homogeneous or heterogeneous, amorphous or crystallinewhere the experimental aspects, including registration of signals and methodology used, change only insignicantly with the changing nature of the samples. However, some solids and materials are exceptions to this versatility due to their complexity (proteins), porosity (diamagnetic porous catalysts with different pore sizes), or having a large amount of unpaired electrons (metallic systems and paramagnetic materials).
