Description	Modern biotechnology is an immensely powerful tool and has found applications in almost all walks of life, promising improved agricultural and forest products, health care, and crime detection, to mention a few. Unfortunately, research in biotechnology has become controversial, mainly because it is difficult for the general public to comprehend this field since it is mired in complex jargon. It has been cited as being a threat to environmental safety, violating natural laws, and religious zealots have even labelled it as trivializing the meaning of life!
