| Description | In this chapter, the focus is on behavioral approach, that is, speech signal processing for the user authentication, which seems to be a more complicated task in comparison to any physiological biometric technique. The research work is carried out on text-dependent voice biometric system by hybridizing with a speech recognition engine for enhancing the performance of the biometric identification system. The key reason behind the conglomeration of automatic speech recognition engine with the speaker recognition system is that it will fetch the information in physiological domain relating to the shape of the vocal tract (pharynx, larynx, mouth, jaw, tongue, and lungs) of an individual as well as the behavioral aspects, that is, place and manner of articulation.
