| Description | G. I. Goretskiy was the first to study glacial bedrock dislocations in the Ukraine, including those that penetrate the pre-Pleistocene sediments of a few tens to hundreds metres thickness (Goretskiy, 1970). He drew attention to large-scale injection structures at the bottom and along the sides of the Shevchenko 'exaration' (glacial erosion) valley (fig. 162), stretching along the western edge of the Dnieper-Donets structural basin.
