| Description | Random vibration studies incorporating effects of shear deformation and rotary inertia are reviewed. Emphasis is placed on the convergence behavior of the mean square stress response of structures under timewise ideal white-noise excitation. Use of approximate differential equation, taking into account effects of shear deformation and rotary inertia, but neglecting their interactive contribution, is discussed. A two-degree-of-freedom model structure is analysed in detail, elucidating use of the above approximation. Book Name: Stochastic Structural Dynamics |
