Description | In order to evaluate thermal performance of filament wound (FW) fiber reinforced cylindrical pipe, thermal test was conducted. Strains due to temperature change were measured. The prediction of thermal strain is based on the classical laminated plate theory and treating FW pipes that are three-dimensional, cylindrical and orthotropic. Experimental strains were compared with the theoretical one. The effect of winding angle of FW pipes on the thermal performance was investigated.
