| Description | This study aims to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills through the implementation of a problem-based learning (PBL) model for probability problems. This was a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent pre-test-post-test control group design, involving 28 students of grade X in one of the senior high schools in Banda Aceh, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used in this research was critical thinking about probability test problems used to measure the students' critical thinking abilities. The results of the test were analyzed with quantitative methods using statistical analysis, paired-samples t-tests and using gain scores to determine the effectiveness. The results of this study indicate that the application of a PBL model to the probability problems had a positive impact on improving students' critical thinking skills. We conclude that the implementation of PBL can improve student's critical thinking abilities. Book Name: Innovative Teaching and Learning Methods in Educational Systems |
