| Description | ESPOmar is a European Interreg POCTEP Project in which several Spanish, Portuguese universities, research groups and public organizations collaborated to examine the potential of establishing a competitive regular passenger maritime transport system in the Gulf of Cadiz. An important aspect of this competition is the reduction of resistance. This reduction implies also a reduction in fuel consumption and the emission of CO2. Two catamaran configurations have been analyzed by ANSYS FLUENT and Maxsurf Resistance to establish the best catamaran configuration for the ESPOmar project.
