| Description | Material circularity has been attracting attention from construction industry stakeholders who are committed to ameliorating the industry's negative impacts on society's sustainability aspirations. Concrete is an intensively utilised resource in the construction industry. Improving the material circularity of concrete remains topical among sustainable construction researchers. To date, a limited number of studies detailing the trends and gaps associated with research in the material circularity of concrete has been observed. A review of published research would engender an understanding of these trends whilst providing for the identification of knowledge gaps and future research directions. Bibliometric analysis has been identified as a veritable method for achieving this objective. In this chapter, the usefulness of bibliometric analysis in establishing trends associated with material circularity has been demonstrated, whilst highlighting gaps necessitating further study using a recycled concrete exemplar. In this case, bibliometric analysis made it possible to identify the growth rate in numbers of publications within the review period, the most productive authors working within the knowledge domain, degree of collaboration between them, author distribution, collaboration networks, institutions and countries producing such publications, and the journals where such articles were published. This chapter has salient implications for construction management researchers as it provides them with guidance on how to carry out a bibliometric analysis.
