| Description | Postgraduate students differ from their undergraduate counterparts in terms of their support requirements, course structure, ways of working and informational needs. Although the university has an educational, e-learning support system (WebCT), this has been designed primarily to serve the undergraduate population. Postgraduate students differ from their undergraduate counterparts in terms of their support requirements, course structure, ways of working and informational needs. A commercial system (eStudio) was selected as being potentially more useful. The postgraduate (PhD) community at Coventry School of Art and Design comprises around 20 full and part time students working on a diverse range of projects, many of which involve collaboration. Additionally most postgraduate students spend time working from home or on field studies, so it is difficult for them to maintain contact with, and manage supervisory teams, have a continued awareness and sense of belonging to the immediate and larger community and to share information.
