| Description | Figure 2 shows the relationship between Mu/MAIJ (Mu/M' AIJ) and B'f/D (B'f*/D) for each specimen. It can be seen that: (I) a difference in B'f affects the estimated strength of ~he connections, (2) the design formula estimates the strength of the connections well with hs=70mm and 120m (Mu/M'AIJ=1.0-1.25), and (3) the larger the tapered flange width, the smaller the ratio of Mu/MAIJ or Mu/M' !UJ.
