| Description | CPT method and results of practical use of CPT data for the evaluation of soil characteristics variation over the raft foundation area on the level of a foundation bed are given. CPT results are processed with a portable computer of a penetrometer, the data obtained are input into the base computer. A program of plotting the three-dimensional diagrams of the head resistance value at the given depth is developed with the use of the bicubical splines. Then the site plan is obtained with the isolines of soil characteristics. It allows to preset the values of the design characteristics of soil at some specific parts of the raft for the chosen method of calculation. Book Name: Geoecology and Computers |
