| Description | This study examines the effectiveness of a class writing blog for developing English as a foreign language (EFL) writing skills with a class of first year secondary school students in Greece. Specifically, the study examines blogging and writing performance and blogging and motivation. The research methodology was Action Research (AR) and the data analyzed came from the participants' writing and participant opinion questionnaires. Blogging was found to have a positive impact on EFL writing skills. However, not all the students were motivated to engage with it. The characteristics which were found to contribute to its effectiveness were its technological nature and its social constructivist orientation. Dealing with a new technology, however, also created issues for some learners. Book Name: Interdisciplinary Research Approaches to Multilingual Education |
