Description	At the onset of the chapter, the user will understand the working concept of the knitting machine and the control process used in the knitting machine. The computer interface of the knitting machine also is explained in detail.This chapter explains the control system concepts used in the knitting machine and the automation process used in the knitting machine. It identifies the measuring devices used in the knitting machine. Control systems play a major role in improving the quality of the fabric and reducing the labor force in the knitting industry. The control system with piezoelectric bending transducer modules for individual needle selection is tailored for use in jacquard circular knitting machines. The knit master control unit, which becomes a permanent portion of the knitting machine, serves three major functions: First, it counts all machine revolutions and will stop the knitting machine after a predetermined number of machine revolutions. Second, it serves as a power source and control for the knit master electronic yarn meter. Third, it serves as a power source for the knit master compu-Tach, the fast and highly accurate electronic RPM meter, which gives RPMs to 0.1 RPM. Book Name: Automation in Textile Machinery
