| Description | The upcoming 5G technology brings not only great technological advancement but also great challenges for engineers and researches. The design process of a 5G infrastructure requires that many scenarios be tested beforehand about how mobile devices and networks will behave in such an environment. For this purpose, it is necessary to know very complex mathematical knowledge that should describe the phenomena that occur in communication, especially on the physical layer. Due to the complexity of mathematics, design and simulations might be time-consuming, so it is needed to come up with results faster. This chapter presents a model for analyzing such cases and how algorithms are implemented in software tools. In particular, the concept of microsimulation semisymbolic analysis applied to the performance of a 5G communication system as well as to second-order statistics is presented.
