| Description | This chapter introduces the concept of computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software, More recently, a further feature of ATLAS.ti has been developed, which means that data such as open-ended and survey items, literature reviews, audio recordings, pictures, and web pages can be included in qualitative projects because these can now also be analyzed. Accordingly, mixed analysis can be enhanced through the use of ATLAS.ti tapping into aspects of data analysis such as visualization, contextualization, and serendipity. Short memos can be written and added to the literature review in ATLAS.ti to help the researcher keep track of the development of this review. The chapter contributes to mixed methods research by outlining the possibilities of using ATLAS.ti in conducting a literature review, including method, theory, prior research, the social significance of the problem, philosophical underpinnings of the inquiry, implications for policy, and applications to practice.
