| Description | A theoretical model for bond based on fracture mechanics properties is presented. The influence of the confinement pressure is taken into account. The model is based on a simple σ - w relation. Since the crack opening also controls the tension stiffening effect, the selected constitutive model will have a major influence on the results. A test example with a spiral reinforced concrete cylinder is presented and compared with a finite element analysis. Results are presented from pull-out tests with different reinforcement diameters. 1 Introduction Book Name: Fracture of Brittle Disordered Materials: Concrete, Rock and Ceramics |
