Description	Distance learning at the Open University calls for the adoption of an appropriate learning method, pattern, and style from students. This adoption assists them in navigating toward tutorial sessions (e.g., face-to-face and online tutorials) and leverage online learning resources (e.g., Independent Online Practices), which holds the key to an optimal learning outcome. Capturing the notion of students' preference to learning style and their motivation to activate the learning style can be best used to demonstrate the attainment of that outcome. This study is survey research that seeks to measure the effect of learning style and motivation on learning achievement at the Open University of Makassar. Multiple regression modeling was adopted to analyze the data with a population of undergraduate students of the Public Administration program in East Luwu Regency. The results were favorable; learning style and student motivation had a positive and significant effect on learning achievement, both simultaneously and partially.
