| Description | The unique sputtering-excitation properties have lately traced much interest to hollow cathode discharge (HCD) within modem spectroscopic investigations [1-3]. Due to the commensurability of the large contact surfaces Negative Glow (NG) — Cathode Dark Space (CDS) — Cathode the HCD represents a reservoir of sputtered atoms in the ground state. Another HCD attribute is the characteristic electron energy distribution function, which contains a group of electrons of few hundred eV energy. These fast electrons impart specific energetic and space-anisotropic properties to the HCD. The excitation space anisotropy is known to align the degenerated magnetic states. |
