| Description | IoT (Internet of things) is the future of the internet, in which multiple computing devices are connected to enable many smart and advanced services for users. In the future, using billions of smart devices and objects, it is expected that IoT systems will have a significant economic impact and will connect the physical world with the cyber world. Effective use of these tools and applications includes a secure environment where, along with the information collected, one can rely on the information source. Trust is a key element of Internet application decision-making and especially affects security policies that involve trust management to ensure the protection, authentication, authorization, and confidentiality of related products. In ensuring accurate data collection, professional facilities, and improved security, trust protection has become a major challenge. This helps individuals to overcome their fears and allows IoT programs to be embraced and used. First, we discuss and understand the properties of trust and the goals of IoT trust management in this chapter. The goal of this chapter is also to review various confidence models in the WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) and other network domains, along with the impact and need for IoT confidence management, trust computing, and IoT management issues. In the current scenario of IoT systems, we also classify trust computing models into various dimensions, such as trust composition, trust spread, trust aggregation, trust update, and trust formation, with some emphasis on the challenge of generating consistent feedback for the evaluation of trust in the exchange of IoT services, and trust management in various layers of IoT and trust applications.
