The Toyota Corporation has been highly successful in automotive manufacturing and is recognized as an outstanding example of a lean organization. With regard to Toyota's recalls in 2009 and 2010, it must be noted that these problems were due to failures of management. Jeffrey Liker describes principles in the contemporary Toyota Way.
