| Description | Levitin et al. (1998) proposed a redundancy optimization model for determining the optimal component versions and redundancies for various subsystems in a multi-state series-parallel system. A heuristic approach was proposed by Ramirez-Marquez and Coit (2004) for solving the multi-state redundancy allocation problem formulated in Levitin et al. (1998). Tian and Zuo presented a physical programming based approach for the multi-objective redundancy optimization of multi-state series-parallel systems (Tian and Zuo, 2006). The above-mentioned optimization methods are only partial optimization, since only redundancies are considered to be design variables. Book Name: Safety, Reliability and Risk Analysis |
