| Description | In Chapter 4, we provided an overview of the binomial distribution, upon which logistic regression is based. We also differentiated between two varieties of logistic regression: the binary response (1/0) logistic model and the proportional (n/m) response, or binomial logistic model. The proportional response model derives from the full binomial probability distribution (PDF); the binary response logistic model is derived from the Bernoulli distribution, which is the binomial model with each observation having a response denominator of one (1). That is, the Bernoulli is the most elementary form of binomial model. Book Name: Logistic Regression Models |
