Description	This chapter discusses the main challenges network scholars and practitioners face in general and the challenge to ensure methodologically sound work in particular. The idea behind this book is discussed, namely to equip network/collaboration researchers with the means as well as innovations that push the boundaries of exploration and discovery. It is argued why both early career as well as established scholars are joined in discussing foundational (e.g. case study, social network analysis) as well as upcoming methods (e.g. Q methodology, narrative inquiry) in the study of networks and collaboration, as well as why a number of reflective chapters by a leading practitioner and young researchers are included.
