Description	In recent years, digital watermarking has become a very popular topic that interests more and more persons coming from institutes or companies to take part in its research and application developments. A well-known reason for this is that the rapid growth of the Internet and the widespread use of digital contents create an urgent need for the protection of intellectual property. Although there are still many issues to be solved technically and legally before digital watermarking technology can be applied in the real world, more and more digital watermarking products have entered the market for watermarking applications. Moreover, currently, watermarking techniques are expected to be used for more and more kinds of media, such as the printed materials, screen images, cloth materials, and even the images painted on 388the wall and floor, which have reached beyond the original scope of digital watermarking (i.e., the digital domain).
