| Description | In this article, we describe the approach to developing a competency model. This approach is based on professional standards. At present, professional standards and competence approach are being actively introduced in the organizations of Russia. Human resource is one of the most strategic resources for every type of organization. Therefore, it becomes important to offer a reasonable and intelligent system for them. For this purpose, we have to focus on providing correct information about the labor functions of employees in the organization. The proposed competency model consists of main and variable components. The main component contains knowledge, skills, and behaviors of a profession. A variable component contains knowledge, skills, and behaviors that reflect the activity of the specialist in the concrete organization. Such an approach allows us to create a universal and adaptive model. Book Name: Issues and Trends in Interdisciplinary Behavior and Social Science |
