| Description | Human development requires innovations in technology and telecommunication devices. These devices also form the basis of our aerospace ventures. But a critical problem that arises is the undesired electromagnetic radiation that interferes with electronic apparatus, such as sensors, power and power subsystem units, batteries, rocket payloads, communication units, remote sensing instruments, data handling units, televisions, mobile phones, computers, underground transformers, various medical devices, military planes, space systems, and the externally located units of spacecraft and commercial airplanes [1]. Effective EMI shielding is used to cancel this radiation and protect equipment from failure. This chapter discusses the radiation environment in aerospace applications and the materials used to overcome EMI in detail.
