Description	The human-centric nature of Society 5.0 has raised the need to use cutting-edge technologies in different domains of healthy living. Health care is one such sector which would immensely gain through the usage of innovative and promising technologies relying on machine intelligence. As understood, there is a need to develop an advanced health care ecosystem that promotes open data-based innovation, cultivation of human resources, exhibition of advances in biotechnology, active involvement of the patient, digitalization of processes, privacy and security, etc. Moreover, the ongoing pandemic situation has raised an alarm for making health care faciities more convenient for increasing vitality and healthy life expectancy, both at the urban and the rural level. It seems to be presently missing. This chapter discusses the role of artificial intelligence (AI) as the key enabler in bringing about a revolutionary change in the health care ecosystem, fostering health care facility for all aspects of Society 5.0. The chapter also proposes a health care solution for better and more efficient health care in the future. This human-centric society must be well prepared and equipped with technologies for dealing with pandemic-like situations, and the solution lies in leveraging AI.
