| Description | We investigated the possible role of stress-related factors in infertile women with luteal phase insufficiency (LPI). One hundred and nine women were recruited for the study and asked to fill out a questionnaire. It could be shown that infertile women, in general, differed from potentially fertile ones in their ability to cope with stress and anxiety. Moreover, infertile women with LPI were found to be unique in that they exhibited a significantly higher level of trait anxiety than both other fertile and infertile women. We conclude that a high level of trait anxiety seems to be a common denominator in women with LPI. |
