FAILURE PROCESS OF VERTICAL JOINTS BETWEEN COMPOSITE PREFABRICATED MASONRY WALL ELEMENTS

| Description | The aim of the paper is to present the simple analysis of the failure process of the storeyhigh vertical joints between the composite prefabricated masonry wall elements. The structural lay-out of elements consists of the planar subtle reinforced concrete frame and the mortarless confined masonry. The lateral faces of the elements are not provided with concrete shear keys. The shear resistance of the vertical joint results from the structural behaviour of two special tie-beams at the level of each floor slab. The simplified calculation procedure of the shear stiffness of the vertical joints is given. Book Name: Computer Methods in Structural Masonry - 4 |
