Under conditions of long-term crisis and considerable decrease of production Ukraine cannot follow the examples of western countries where power engineering was reoriented for a short time toward the usage of ecologically less harmful natural gas and oil products. Moreover, national economy of Ukraine has rather powerful mining potential and its destruction is not expedient at all. Due to the economic situation in the country it is impossible to close such mines at once, because of the financial shortage. Other reasons are social tension and a great value of anthracites for power engineering. In this connection it is necessary to analyze the state of non-perspective mines taking into consideration the study of quantitative relations between productive components: streams of coal, rock and mine gas.
