| Description | Cyber physical systems (CPSs) are the class of systems that are built upon by the interconnections of various computing nodes via communications, protocols, etc. CPSs have attracted a lot of attention in academia, industry, healthcare, climate change, etc. Also, a related field of smart computing (SC) has sprung up lately. In spite of the great potential of these two fields, very few works have been put forth so far which combine both. Further, we feel that there is a gap in the understanding of these two fields separately as well as what their combination can accomplish. Therefore, in this chapter, we present a comprehensive survey of CPS and the SC, from bibliometric point of view during 2010–2020. We have used Web of Science (WoS) as our primary data source, to enable analysis along various dimensions such as number and type of annual publications, possible future research directions, countries and authors. Then, we have performed analysis along the dimension of cooperation networks such as authors, countries, organizations, etc. Finally, we have also performed the analysis about the citation structure and the burst detection.
