Digital watermarking plays a crucial role in copyright protection, even in IoT applications. It provides a good solution for copyright problems and content authentication to achieve data integrity. The objective behind this chapter is to obtain optimal, robust, and invisible image watermarking using differential evolution. A good watermark is robust against attacks, is invisible, and carries a good amount of information related to the owner. This chapter presents a digital watermarking algorithm that makes use of differential evolution along with adaptive optimization for choosing the most suitable scaling factors. It can be inferred from the results after experimentation that the proposed algorithm performs well with respect to invisibility and robustness.
