| Description | The aim of the paper is to highlight the connections among the different applications of Nature based Solutions to enhance the capacity of an urban system to be more and more resilient. The study starts from the analysis of the different dimensions of resilience, that lately assumed a central role in the management of urban actions towards sustainability. Then some parameters are defined, based on the specific objectives of sustainability and a set of indicators is helpful to try to measure how much a specific urban action works towards a resilient behaviour. On the other hand, Nature based Solutions emerged as new keyword to define different ecological actions and tools: from the so called “green infrastructures” to the local application of building scale solutions (green roofs, pocket gardens, etc.). It is interesting to investigate how Resilience and NBS interact on the local urban scale. Book Name: Pedestrians, Urban Spaces and Health |
