| Description | This chapter presents a programmatic-level model as one considers scaling up to fully integrate international experiences, including study abroad, into university-based teacher preparation programs. We explore how a long-standing study abroad program for US-based preservice teachers has purposefully expanded into a comprehensive suite of international programs in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Peru. Programs share a unifying conceptual frame for considering intercultural competence and helping preservice teachers develop a more ethnorelative worldview.
