| Description | An efficient procedure to deoxygenate phenols and enols via trifluoromethanesulfonates is presented. Their reduction with triethylsilane in the presence of a catalytic amount of palladium acetate and bidentate phosphine ligands such as 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane or 1,1’-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene proceeds efficiently to afford a variety of aromatic, heteroaromatic, and olefinic compounds. |
