| Abstract | We would like to extend our most sincere thanks to the 153 individuals listed below. All of them have voluntarily contributed to the quality of this journal by performing reviews upon invitation in the year 2012. Their dedication is essential for keeping the high standards of our bilaterally blinded peer review process. The list has grown considerably from 110 last year. With only a few retiring, these additions have helped to bring down the average workload, which in 2012 ranged from one to 17 manuscripts, not counting the numerous revised versions. The guest reviewers and the members of the International Advisory Board (who are marked with an asterisk*) share most of the burdens but only few of the pleasures which editing a scientific journal implies.
