Description	The synthesis of 1,5-disubstituted tetrazoles from 1,1-difluoroazides is reported. Condensation of the preformed azides (3, 4, and 5) with a variety of alkyl amines leads to the desired tetrazoles (1) in good to excellent yields. As the major decomposition product, the authors report the hydrolysis of the 1,1-difluoroazide to give the corresponding amide (2) based on a combination of LC-MS data and isolation of the amide by-product in one example (not shown above).
