Abstract	Substitution of the Cl atoms of CH₂(AlCl₂)₂ by 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidino or bis(trimethylsilyl)- amino groups leads to monomeric methylene bis(diaminoalanes). These show a wide Al-C-Al bond angle as determined by X-ray crystallography and asymmetrically bonded amino groups in the piperidino derivative.
