NDLI: New class of metallacarboranes incorporating the η7-carboranyl ligand

Abstract	This article provides an overview of our work on the synthesis, molecular structure, and bonding of a novel class of 13-vertex closo-metallacarboranes incorporating the h⁷-carboranyl ligand. This bonding mode can only be observed in the d⁰/fⁿ transition-metal ions with the proper size.
