| Description | Let $G_{1}$ and $G_{2}$ be two locally compact abelian groups and let 1 ≤ p ∞. We prove that $G_{1}$ and $G_{2}$ are isomorphic as topological groups provid∈d there exists a bipositive or isometric algebra isomorphism of $M(A_{p}$ $(G_{1}$)) onto $M(A_{p}$ $(G_{2}$)). As a consequence of this, we prove that $G_{1}$ and $G_{2}$ are isomorphic as topological groups provided there exists a bipositive or isometric algebra isomorphism of $A_{p}$ $(G_{1}$) onto $A_{p}$ $(G_{2}$). Similar results about the algebras $L_{1}$ ∩ $L_{p}$ and $L_{1}$ ∩ $C_{0}$ are also established. |
