| Description | The current status of NLTE model atmosphere calculations of A type stars is reviewed. During the last decade research has concentrated on solving the restricted NLTE line formation problem for trace elements assuming LTE model atmospheres. There is a general lack of calculated NLTE line blanketed model atmospheres for A type stars, despite the availability of powerful methods and computer codes that are able to solve this task. Some directions for future model atmosphere research are suggested. To search for other articles by the author(s) go to: http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abstract_service.html |
