Description	We prove that in any compact symmetric space, G/K, there is a dense set of $a_{1},a_{2}$∈G such that if $μ_{j}=m_{K}δ_{aj}m_{k}$ is the K-bi-invariant measure supported on $Ka_{j}$K, then $μ_{1}*μ_{2}$ is absolutely continuous with respect to Haar measure on G. Moreover, the product of double cosets, $Ka_{1}Ka_{2}$K, has nonempty interior in G.
