Description	1. A simple and rapid test for paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria is described. The test is based upon the activation by thrombin of the hemolytic factor in serum which destroys the red cells of this disease. 2. It is believed that the test is specific for paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria.
