| Abstract | Ce chapitre donne un aperçu de l’évolution récente de la science, de la technologie et de l’innovation (STI), des perspectives envisagées dans ces domaines et des politiques STI engagées par différents pays. La croissance économique s’accélérant, les activités STI devraient elles aussi connaître une progression. La reprise est toutefois inégale selon les pays et les secteurs, et la crise a causé des dommages durables dans les finances publiques, créant ainsi une « nouvelle donne » pour les politiques STI. Celles-ci doivent tenir compte des risques et des possibilités que la poursuite de la mondialisation des activités STI a engendrés avec les chaînes de valeur mondiales et la mobilité internationale des personnes et des connaissances. L’innovation est de plus en plus appelée à contribuer au règlement des problèmes planétaires, environnementaux et sociétaux et, partant, à confronter les pouvoirs publics à de nouveaux défis.Ce chapitre s’appuie sur les travaux que l’OCDE mène dans divers domaines : science, technologie, industrie, éducation, innovation, migrations, échanges, environnement, affaires économiques, finance, fiscalité, gouvernance publique et statistique. De même, il puise largement dans les réponses données par les pays au questionnaire préparatoire aux Perspectives de la science, de la technologie et l’industrie de l’OCDE 2014, qui constitue une précieuse source d’informations sur les politiques d’innovation nationales. Il porte plus spécifiquement sur les politiques STI et de l’entrepreneuriat, même si l’innovation dépend bien évidemment aussi de la qualité des cadres qui régissent l’environnement macroéconomique, la concurrence, la réglementation, la fiscalité et le marché du travail. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
